2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Business information: the business name you enter and, if you select it, the matching Google business listing.
- Contact information: your name, phone number and email address.
- Communications: anything you tell us when we speak, email or message each other.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, referring page and the date and time of your visit, including advertising campaign parameters (for example UTM tags in the link you clicked).
- Cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 5).
Public business data
To prepare your Audit we look at publicly available information about your business and nearby competitors, such as Google Business Profile details (name, address, phone, hours, categories, ratings, review counts, photos) and the public content of the website you list. This is business information, not private information about you.
3. How we use information
- To prepare and deliver your Audit, including calling you and emailing you the report.
- To respond to your questions and to tell you about our Google Business Profile management service, if you are interested.
- To operate, secure and improve the Site, and to prevent spam and abuse.
- To measure and improve our advertising.
- To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our terms.
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that has legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only as described here:
- Service providers that help us run the Site and the Audit, under obligations to protect the data: our hosting provider (Railway), our email delivery provider (Resend), and Google (for business lookup through the Google Places API and for fonts served by Google Fonts).
- Advertising platforms: if we enable the Meta Pixel, Meta Platforms receives information about your visit and about actions such as submitting the Audit form.
- Legal and safety: when required by law or to protect rights, property or safety.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for money. See section 7 for advertising-related disclosures and your choices.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
The Site itself uses no cookies for essential operation. When enabled, the Meta Pixel and similar advertising technologies may set cookies or read identifiers in your browser to measure ad performance and show relevant ads. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use browser privacy controls such as Global Privacy Control. Fonts loaded from Google Fonts cause your IP address to be sent to Google.
6. How long we keep information
We keep Audit requests and related contact details for as long as needed to prepare the Audit, follow up with you and manage any business relationship, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping and legal purposes. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see section 8). We then delete or anonymize it unless we must keep it by law.
7. Advertising and "sale" or "sharing" of information
Some US state privacy laws define "sale" or "sharing" broadly to include making data available to advertising partners for targeted advertising. Using advertising pixels such as the Meta Pixel may fall within those definitions. You may opt out by emailing us at [email protected] with the subject "Opt Out," by enabling Global Privacy Control in your browser, or through the ad settings of the platform you use (for example Facebook and Instagram ad preferences).
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how we use it; access a copy of it; correct inaccurate information; delete it; opt out of targeted advertising, sale or sharing; and not be treated unfairly for exercising these rights. To make a request, email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days). You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf.
9. Contact and marketing messages
When you request an Audit you agree that we may contact you by phone, text message and email about it. You can ask us to stop at any time by telling us on a call, replying "STOP" to a text, using the unsubscribe link in an email, or writing to [email protected]. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children
The Site is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Third-party sites
The Site may link to or rely on third-party services, such as Google. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
